I absolutely love everything from Lush! It’s amazing, and I just want to try out every bath bomb at least once. My favourite so far is one called Phoenix Rising, it smells like cinnamon and leaves your bath stained purple for days! I try to make my bath bombs last longer by cutting them in half, so I can get two baths out of each one. Well, when I cut into the Phoenix I just fell in love with combination of colours. I took a picture and then recreated it on my nails, weird? maybe?!
Negative space nails are not something I thought I would like, I hate when a nail polish is so sheer that you can see your nail underneath. There is something about the fact that the main aim of this design is to see your nail that makes it more ok for me. So I don’t do these often and I wanted to try every version of negative space you can have!!
I’ve spent some time thinking about what to write for today’s post, and no words ever seem enough to describe a person you love and admire. Today my nails are for my dad, they may seem simple but they’re enough to be just right.
I’m liking this new trend, doing details just along one side of a nail, not 100% sure what to call it. It’s almost like a sideways half moon, and I wanted to try it out!
I briefly saw a video on instagram where someone painted what looked like a flower on to a sponge, just using different colours to dab each section, and then sponge on the colours. I love doing gradient nails because I like how fast sponging on colour is, so when I saw this I couldn’t believe I’d never tried it. I decided to go for Neon colours because I miss wearing bright summer nails!
I’m loving these metallic tattoos that are popular right now, and I’m loving even more how the nail world is using them for mani’s! It’s easier than doing water decal nails, and I personally love the colour combo’s…Gold and aqua…and because I’m still feeling like it’s spring I’ve used a pastel sunshine yellow.
I was hesitant to purchase a dotting tool, as I’m not too keen on polka dots. It took me a while to realize that the dotting tool isn’t just to make, well, dots. Today I have dotted some daisies on my nails, and I love the way these make me feel like spring is just around the corner!
We’re getting closer and closer to Valentines day, so that means lots of pink, hearts and sparkles! My mani today has all three, in fact it’s so sparkly it was difficult to capture.
I have always admired nail artist who pick a pattern that they love and paint it on their nails. Today I tried it for the first time, when looking for new bedding I saw the most amazing pattern and I just had to try and put it on my nails!
I have so much fun doing saran wrap nails, it’s an item that everyone has but would never think to use for nail art, you should definitely try it. I decided to mix it up a little by using a different colour on each nail, like skittle nails!
