Wimbledon definitely lets every English person know that Summer is here, and even if you don’t like watching tennis you have to enjoy the strawberries and cream right? Right!
I’ve spent some time thinking about what to write for today’s post, and no words ever seem enough to describe a person you love and admire. Today my nails are for my dad, they may seem simple but they’re enough to be just right.
I had a plan last week, a plan to be really good and blog more….the next day I got sick and spent the next 4 days in bed! But I am back now and starting to feel better. When sick and unable to move I like to peruse around ASOS, I’m a VIP so I get the luxury of picking something and having it delivered the next day! I came across new Ciate polishes under the category pick and mix, I think because they are mini polishes. Today I am wearing Violet Vixen, a mix of purple and gold glitters.
It’s so exciting finding out about a baby, but then having to wait a certain amount of time before announcing it. It feels like I’ve known about this pregnancy forever and have been dying to do these nails. I should probably clarify that it isn’t my baby, it’s my sister-in-law’s. Babies actually terrify me, but when it’s my niece or nephew I adore them, and I can’t wait for a new addition to the family. The funnest baby game is always….boy or girl?
I searched all kinds of crazy descriptions trying to find the name for my nails today, the pattern is called Ikat and I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. I love this pattern, and I love all the different ways that it can be done.
When I first started writing blogs I found myself doing a lot of Disney nails, so I decided to tone down the Disney and focus more on other nail art. Well some of my family are coming back from Disney World in Florida and I realised that I had tried so hard to do less that I ended up not doing any for a really long time. So today’s nails are inspired by Peter Pan.
Why not merge two loves, my love of chocolate and nail art. I adore Hershey Kisses and I appreciate that they are simple to paint!!
My next installment of Easter nails is a nail art version of the Easter Bunny, and it wouldn’t be right without pink polish and polka dots!
As soon as March hits I know that it’s the start of Spring, and that means I start watching the trees for any signs of blossom. My mani today is to help encourage those trees to blossom!
