Lush Phoenix Rising nails

I absolutely love everything from Lush! It’s amazing, and I just want to try out every bath bomb at least once. My favourite so far is one called Phoenix Rising, it smells like cinnamon and leaves your bath stained purple for days! I try to make my bath bombs last longer by cutting them in half, so I can get two baths out of each one. Well, when I cut into the Phoenix I just fell in love with combination of colours. I took a picture and then recreated it on my nails, weird? maybe?!

I realise that I should describe the bath bomb, it’s dark purple on the outside and covered in gold dust. The inside is a super bright aqua, and when I saw both colours together I was just surprised I had never see. these two shades together before.

I started with the bright aqua shade, which is Barry M Green Berry, I would describe it as a darker shade of mint. I then painted the purple on my nail to create a box in the centre. If you have cut this particular bath bomb in half you will know that the middle is a square, and I like the way the purple cushions the aqua. The purple I used is Deborah Lippmann Call me Irresponsible.

I finished it off with China Glaze Fairy dust so that it had a sparkle, just like the bath bomb. I love this colour combination as well, and I’m thinking it might just be the bright, almost neon colour, paired with a dark colour is probably the reason I really like these nails.

I would love to know what you think! Let me know!
