Mint and black negative space nails

Negative space nails are not something I thought I would like, I hate when a nail polish is so sheer that you can see your nail underneath. There is something about the fact that the main aim of this design is to see your nail that makes it more ok for me. So I don’t do these often and I wanted to try every version of negative space you can have!!

To do these nails I used chevron nail stencils, I picked some up from She sells seashells as they sold ones with a thinner width. You can see just how wide on my pinkie finger and my thumb.

For my thumb I used two chevron stencils and had them pointing in towards the middle. I found that dabbing on the nail polish helped to do this nail, as painting in strokes might have bled the polish into the other sections if I wasn’t careful. Dabbing it also meant that I didn’t need more than one coat!

I think my favourite nail is my index finger, which is funny because it’s one of the nails that is mostly painted! I would like to try and do layers of chevrons but that would require so much patience, I just love the endless possibilities.

I would love to know what you think! Let me know!
