Ok, so you may noticed today’s nails are the ones I had in yesterday’s post review! I thought of these just before I went to sleep the other night and I didn’t want to forget about them when I woke up. So I wrote myself a note and put ‘Pink stripe Leopard print’ if that is good enough to jog my memory it’s good enough for a post title!
I knew I wanted to do leopard print, because I find that animal prints on my nails look really good! I also wanted to paint the other half of my nail black, but to break it up so it’s not too dark I thought to add a pop of hot pink!
What I love about these nails is that I used my ‘go-to’ colours, the nude is Barry M Lychee, the black Illamasqua Boosh and the hot pink is Ruby Wing Poppy. I started with the nude as my base all over, then painted the hot pink over just half the nail. I then went over the pink with black creating the thin pink stripe. When taking these pictures I almost forgot that the Ruby Wing polish is of course a colour changing polish, I ran outside to get the colour change, but the sun had decided to go away. I stood outside for a while and did get a subtle change…
I still get so excited about the colour change, and I love the deep purple colour with the leopard pattern too!
I like the ways these nails look, it’s classy with a little twist. I’m also enjoying how a lot of my creative ideas come to me before bed, just hope I remember them all!
