Ciate Violet Vixen

I had a plan last week, a plan to be really good and blog more….the next day I got sick and spent the next 4 days in bed! But I am back now and starting to feel better. When sick and unable to move I like to peruse around ASOS, I’m a VIP so I get the luxury of picking something and having it delivered the next day! I came across new Ciate polishes under the category pick and mix, I think because they are mini polishes. Today I am wearing Violet Vixen, a mix of purple and gold glitters.

So many polishes do mini sizes, which is great when you want to try it but don’t want to splurge on the full size. A lot of these smaller options though can be so disappointing. But for some reason I prefer Ciate in mini form, I guess because the bottles are wider you feel like you’re getting more!

I started with my base of lilac, Barry M Lap of Honor. I then hand painted the deep chevrons in silver using OPI My Silk Tie. I then went over that creating another chevron half moon using Ciate Violet Vixen.

I love the Ciate polish, it’s been a while since I’ve worn glitter. The dread of the removal really does put me off sometimes, but after I put this on my nails I realised that it really is too lovely to be on such a small part of my nails. I may have to use it again soon and cover my whole nail with it, maybe I should invest in that peel off base coat?

I would love to know what you think! Let me know!
