Duochrome snakeskin

I’ve been so busy creating miniature sized art on my nails that I totally missed that my last post was also my 100th post! That seems so crazy! I had ideas to do something extra special for number 100 but thought I was still a way off from it, well I shall plan something for my 150th post then? Today I tried some stamping using duochrome nail polish, not my favourite polish to wear on my nails but I do love the effect of this mani!

I saw a similar style being used to create mermaid nails, and I remembered that I had a snake skin pattern on one of my stamping plates that I had been wanting to use. To my amazement I had a few duochrome polishes in my collection, I did go through a phase of just loving how they looked in the bottle but not really enjoying them on my nails. Well, if I had known that they would stamp so well I would have done this sooner!!

As well as this being the first duochrome I stamped I think it’s also the first time I used more than one colour! The duochromes I own and have used are OPI Kermit me to Speak, and the other two are a part of Barry M’s Aquarium collection called Pacific and Mediterranean. The thumb nail in the picture above captured it the best as you can really see the snakeskin effect.

I used MoYou’s Pro XL collection plate 04 which has all animal prints! I love how these turned out and I just can’t stop moving my fingers to watch the colours shift and change.

I would love to know what you think! Let me know!
