Reverse gradient

I’ve seen a lot of these reverse gradients going around the nail blogs lately, they confuse the eye as you can’t quite work out what is going on!

You start with a basic gradient, I chose light blue (Models Own Asscher Blue) to dark blue (China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans). Once dried you place a couple lines of zig zag stencils, I got mine from She sells seashells, and then you do the same gradient technique, but this time sponging the colours on the opposite way.

It’s only when you take the zig zags off that it reveals the reverse gradient, it’s the part in the middle where the two colours meet that makes me really love this effect!

I love trying new nail trends, especially when the result looks this effective. If you’ve mastered the gradient technique then the only difficult thing about this mani is the cleaning up!

I would love to know what you think! Let me know!
