I’m at a wedding today so you can probably guess that a lot of people will be wearing the classic French Manicure. I love a good french tip, but I also like to try new things! The dress I’m wearing has red flowers on it which gave me the idea to do a red French Manicure!
I wanted a simple mani today, and whenever I want something simple and pretty on my nails I always turn to nail stamping!
There’s some nail polish I buy because I love how it looks in the bottle, sometimes it’s hard to get the same look onto your nails. That’s how I feel about Barry M’s Glitterati collection, I can’t cover my whole nail thick enough to get the same effect, so that’s when I thought I’d see how it does on only part of my nail!
I really do love the colour green at the moment, I keep looking at my green Illamasqua and just waiting for inspiration to hit me. It was only when I purchased the MoYou Pro collection plate that I knew what to do!
When I first tried foil nails I did just the end of my nails to give a gradient effect, I then tried doing my whole nail both of which I loved the look of. I then realized that I should combine foils with another of my favourite mani styles, Half Moons!
I briefly saw a video on instagram where someone painted what looked like a flower on to a sponge, just using different colours to dab each section, and then sponge on the colours. I love doing gradient nails because I like how fast sponging on colour is, so when I saw this I couldn’t believe I’d never tried it. I decided to go for Neon colours because I miss wearing bright summer nails!
Things have been crazy lately, we’ve been doing major housework so I painted these nails and didn’t have the time to take a picture of them straight away. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to capture them in time, but a couple of days later they’re still good! Essie Beyond Cozy I am impressed by you!
I’m loving these metallic tattoos that are popular right now, and I’m loving even more how the nail world is using them for mani’s! It’s easier than doing water decal nails, and I personally love the colour combo’s…Gold and aqua…and because I’m still feeling like it’s spring I’ve used a pastel sunshine yellow.
I was hesitant to purchase a dotting tool, as I’m not too keen on polka dots. It took me a while to realize that the dotting tool isn’t just to make, well, dots. Today I have dotted some daisies on my nails, and I love the way these make me feel like spring is just around the corner!
I wanted to do something a little more subtle for Valentines day, so I went for a baby pink with some pretty pearls.
